Women’s Water Polo Unveils Captains for the 2021 Season

Harvard women's water polo names Olivia Price and Quinne Pursell captains for the 2020-21 season

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Seniors Olivia Price and Quinne Pursell have been named captains of the Harvard women's water polo team for the 2021 season, the Friends of Harvard Water Polo head coach Ted Minnis announced today. As all captains at Harvard, they were determined by votes from the other student-athletes on the team.

Pursell finished the shortened 2020 season with a total of 17 goals, 15 assists, four steals, one block and eight DKOs. The Oceanside, Calif. native currently ranks fourth in program history in total blocks with 14.

Last season, Price racked up 17 goals, 13 assists, two blocks and a team-leading 22 DKOs. The Lafayette, Calif. native's 22 DKOs earned her a spot in the record books, ranking fourth all-time in total DKOs in a season. The attacker also ranks second in program history in total career DKOs with 58.
