ORLANDO, Fla. – Continuing their athletic pursuits in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), graduating senior Leah Mohammadi and Alika Keene '16 have been named to the preseason roster of the Orlando Pride.
Mohammadi and Keene are two of 26 players named to the roster, and they join Margaret Purce '17, who plays for the Portland Thorns, in the NWSL. Keene is one of six defenders on the team, while Mohammadi is one of nine midfielders.
Mohammadi was a first team All-Ivy League selection in 2018, while also being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team for the third-straight season. The Upland, California native helped guide the Crimson to the 2016 Ivy League championship, and totaled 38 points across 60 appearances, including 13 goals.
Keene appeared in 65 games for the Crimson at center back, including 58 starts. The Mount Dora, Florida native was a part of two Ivy League championship teams in 2013 and 2014, including a second round appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Keene tallied five assists across her Harvard career, and contributed to 30 shutouts.
Orlando opens the 2019 NWSL season on Sunday, April 14.
