Fleischman netted two goals Saturday to help the Crimson to a 4-0 win over Princeton.

PRINCETON, N.J.  – After exploding for two goals in the 4-0 win over Princeton, freshman forward Joan Fleischman has been named Ivy League Co-Player and Rookie of the Week. This marks the second time this season that a Crimson student-athlete has been awarded both weekly league accolades.

Fleischman posted her first multi-goal game Saturday, scoring the game winner and the second tally in the match against the Tigers. The Chevy Chase, Md., native sits fifth on the squad with eight points on three goals and two assists.

With the win over Princeton, the Crimson needs just a draw in one of its two remaining league games to clinch at least a share of the Ancient Eight crown. A win will mark the squad's 11th Ivy title and fourth in six years.

Freshman forward Margaret "Midge" Purce was named Player and Rookie of the Week Oct. 14, 2013. This marks the fourth-straight week that Harvard has earned a nod from the conference.

Harvard (9-3-2, 5-0) looks to continue its 11-game unbeaten streak against Brown in a nonleague matchup Tuesday, Oct. 29. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
