Wrestling Announces Incoming First-Year Class of 2024

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The David G. Bunning '88 Head Coach of Harvard wrestling, Jay Weiss, announces its seven-member incoming class: Cole Bayless, Kenny Herrmann, Will Hoeft, Niko Katsuyoshi, Nick Marcenelle, Dom Mata, and Luke Rada.

"We're really excited for this group to join our wrestling family," says Weiss. "Not only are they all accomplished on the mat, but they come with high character which will add to our current culture. This is going to be an impactful group that I can't wait to get on campus." 

Hailing from four states (California, Iowa, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania), the Class of 2024 will join a talented young team, which includes a pair of NCAA qualifiers, Philip Conigliaro and Yaraslau Slavikouski.

Two-time Pennsylvania State qualifier … Placed sixth at the 2020 PIAA State Championship… Named to the All-State academic team in 2019, 2020 … Compiled a dual record of 88-1 throughout high school … Reynolds High School valedictorian … Class president … Member of the student council … Student council vice-president … Member of the National Honor Society … Enjoys playing ping-pong, movies, video games, and reading … Son of Sean and Annese Bayless … Older brother, Beau '23, is a member of the Harvard wrestling program.
