PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Harvard wrestling team (3-10, 3-7 EIWA, 1-5 Ivy) dropped its final EIWA wrestling dual to Brown via a tie-break, 19-18, on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Hunter Ladnier and first-year No. 19 Philip Conigliaro closed out the match for the Crimson with a pair of major decisions to tie the overall match. Ladnier pulled Harvard to within four points, 18-14, blanking Jack Bokina, 12-0, while Conigliaro earned the 12-3 major decision over Matt Lattanze. Brown earned the dual victory based the Bears' fall victory at 197 pounds early in the match.

Early in the match, a quick escape by first-year Mike Doggett to begin the third period at 184 tied the individual bout at 1-1. With 40 seconds remaining in regulation, Brown's Brandon Kui went for the win, but Doggett was able to hold off Kui and force overtime. Doggett used his momentum and came away with the sudden victory, 3-1.

After Brown took a 9-3 advantage following a pin at 197 pounds, No. 10 Yaraslau Slavikouski continued his dominance in the dual season, picking up his 12th straight victory. The 10th ranked wrestler in the nation earned the 18-6 major decision over Thomas Mukai at heavyweight to bring the Crimson back within two points.

In a premier bout at 133 pounds, first-year Michael Jaffe came back from trailing 8-5 after the first two periods to walk away with the 14-12 decision in sudden victory. It appeared to swing momentum back in favor of the Crimson, but the Bears were able to pull out the next three matches.
