CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 10/10 Harvard women's hockey team (13-11-1, 12-5-1 ECAC Hockey) is set to embark on its final road trip of the regular season to Rensselaer and Union. The Crimson looks to sweep the season series with both teams, taking on Rensselaer on Friday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. and facing off against Union on Saturday at 3 p.m. Friday's matchup will be broadcast on RPI TV while Saturday will air on ESPN+ and ECAC Hockey's International platform.
What to Know
- Kristin Della Rovere and Dominique Petrie lead the Crimson with 29 points apiece. Della Rovere leads the team with 17 goals while Petrie tops the roster with 17 assists.
- This week, Katey Stone was honored as one of Boston's Most Influential Women by the Harvard Club of Boston. Stone was one of seven honorees in the 2020 class. More information about the honor and honorees can be found here.
- Harvard is 12-0-1 when scoring three goals or more.
- The Crimson sits fourth in ECAC Hockey standings, just one point off No. 5/5 Clarkson in third. Harvard will look to secure hosting rights for ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals since the 2014-15 season.
At the Helm
One of the most well-known coaches in college hockey, Katey Stone, enters her 25th season as The Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Ice Hockey. Throughout her storied career, Stone has coached 13 Olympians, 24 All-America selections, six Patty Kazmaier winners and has accumulated a 476-239-53 overall record, prior to the 2019-20 season.
Next weekend, Harvard will host No. 5/5 Clarkson and St. Lawrence. Saturday's contest against the Saints will serve as the annual "Light the Bright-Landry" game. As Harvard looks to break the Bright-Landry attendance record for a women's hockey game, fans will have opportunities to spin the prize wheel, participate in "Chuck-a-puck", play games, take home team posters and more! LED bracelets and foam sticks will also be distributed.
