No. 7 Women’s Fencing Sweeps to Secure Its 13th Straight Beanpot

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- No. 7 Harvard women's fencing went a perfect 3-0 to secure it's 13th straight Beanpot Title on the campus of Boston College, Wednesday night.

On the strip in round one, Harvard fenced Brandeis. The epee squad of Saanchia Kukadia, Cindy Gao and Melissa Du led the way going 9-0. The Crimson went on to win by a final of 19-8.

The Crimson continued dominance on the strip defeating MIT, 22-5, in its second match of the night. The foilists carried led the charge sweeping the competition with a 9-0 record en route to the win.

Stepping to the strip for the final time tonight, Harvard defeated Boston College, 16-11, to secure the sweep at the Beanpot. The foil squad went 7-2 against the Eagles in the final bouts with a perfect record from sophomore Cynthia Liu.
