CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard ski team will kick off the 2019-20 season with the inaugural Harvard Carnival in Waterville Valley, N.H. and Craftsbury, Vt. Both nordic and alpine will open competition on Friday, Jan. 17, with the alpine competition being live-streamed on ESPN+ in Waterville Valley. The nordic races will be live-streamed on Saturday, Jan. 18 from Craftsbury.

What to know:
- The Harvard Carnival is the first event the Crimson has hosted in the skiing circuit.
- The ESPN+ broadcast marks the first regular-season EISA race to be live-streamed; two broadcast commentators will provide play-by-play and color commentary in addition to a sideline reporter conducting interviews with skiers after competition.
- The Crimson capped off the 2018-19 regular season with a ninth-place team finish at the EISA Regional Championships.
- Sophomore James Kitch returns to competition after a 36th place finish at the NCAA Championships in the 2018-19 season.
The Crimson are on the road to Stowe, Vt. and Craftsbury, Vt. to compete at the UVM Carnival, Jan. 24-25.
