Men’s Volleyball Heads to New Jersey for Contests Against NJIT, No. 11 Princeton

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's volleyball team (9-4, 3-2 EIVA) will hit the road for a pair of matches in New Jersey. The Crimson will first take on NJIT (6-5, 1-3 EIVA) on Friday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m., before heading to No. 11 Princeton (7-5, 5-1 EIVA) for a contest on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 4 p.m. Harvard's match against Princeton will be broadcast on ESPN+.

What to Know 

  • Harvard split last weekend, defeating Saint Francis (Pa.), 3-2, on Friday before falling to No. 9 Penn State, 3-0.
  • The Crimson received six votes in the latest AVCA Division I-II Poll, released on Feb. 24.
  • Harvard leads the all-time series against NJIT, 27-19.
  • The Crimson is currently third in the NCAA in digs per set with 10.45, while senior captain Chase Howard ranks fourth in the NCAA and first in the EIVA with 2.66.

At the Helm
Head coach Brian Baise enters his 12th season at the helm of the Harvard men's volleyball program. Baise holds a 121-113 record during his time in Cambridge, including five top-three EIVA Tournament finishes in the past eight years and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018.
