CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's golf team announced today that it will compete in four tournaments during the fall 2015 season.
After finishing in third place at the Ivy League Championships, Harvard will return to the greens to compete at The Doc Gimmler, hosted by St. John's at Bethpage Red September 11-12. In its last appearance, the team tied for sixth place. Kendrick Vinar finished fifth overall in the individual competition, posting a five-under par 65 in the final round, the lowest round by a Harvard student-athlete last season.
The Crimson will return to the Quechee Club Invitational at Dartmouth (Sept. 26-27) looking to reclaim its title after winning the tournament last year. Gregory Royston placed second overall in his second collegiate tournament.
Harvard will compete in the annual Macdonald Cup at Yale (Oct. 4-5) after finishing second overall in last year's tournament. Robert Deng led the Crimson, placing fifth in the individual competition with a three-under par 67 in the final round.
The team will finish off its slate with its first ever appearance at the Gifford Collegiate tournament, hosted by UCLA November 2-4.
