Five From Field Hockey Named NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Five members of the Harvard field hockey team were named to the 2019 Zag Field Hockey / NFHCA Division 1 Scholars of Distinction list.

Sophomore Elizabeth Denehy, sophomore Olivia Hoover, senior Olivia Ostrover, sophomore Ellie Shahbo, and junior Mimi Tarrant were all named Scholars of Distinction for having achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.

Last week, Harvard had 18 student-athletes named to the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad – given to those who achieve a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester the 2019-2020 academic year.

Casey Allen, Elizabeth Denehy, Grace Geiger, Isa Gooijer, Rachel Greenwood, Olivia Hoover, Kolbe Keating, Siofra Murdoch, Sage Nye, Olivia Ostrover, Callie Rennyson, Ellie Shahbo, Natalie Sicher, Julia Smits, Mimi Tarrant, Bente van Vlijmen, Taylor Weber, Lilly Whitman all earned National Academic Squad recognition.
